Flexibility

Based on our dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology, our Wavelength service supports all standard and advanced connection protocols on a single wavelength, including Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, FICON, FICON Express and, SONET. That gives you the flexibility to run multiple applications without the need for complex network builds – and the control to define your own network protection levels.

Protection and diversity

Wavelength service from Bell Wholesale includes several protection and diversity options that improve resiliency and uptime, including:

  • A single protected circuit that automatically reroutes traffic in the core to an alternate, preconfigured standby route in case of failure
  • A two-times unprotected circuit on diverse routing that allows you to configure your own fault-tolerant mechanisms
  • Mesh restoration to automatically reroute traffic in case of a failure – in as little as one second for near-instant restoration
  • Full diversity network paths and access between primary and secondary circuits from end to end
